News/Rumors

Welcome to the Redesigned Site!

I am going to be tweaking this site quite a bit for the foreseeable future, but my intent is to provide a one-stop-shop for all of my blog posts – including my sRGB graphics presentations, color science discussions, and all of the Professional Franchise Team Colors and College Colors & Nicknames information.

Eventually, my old Blogspot.com site, as well as my Tumblr page will also be taken down; I feel as though it is a much better plan to house all of my projects in one place.

I think the old SSUR/ColorWerx site may have been one of the last Microsoft FrontPage websites around; a fact that I am definitely not proud of (!).

It was important to start off this new site with – at a minimum – the Franchise Team Colors and College Colors & Nicknames…since they have always been the forefront of what I do.  Over 10,000 color palettes have been regenerated for this re-launch, as well as incorporating a number of plugins and widgets that should make the user experience much more enjoyable.

I do however, still plan on making the Franchise Team Colors and College Colors & Nicknames sections searchable – including the ability to search the collegiate records by conference.

There are a number of projects that I will be moving over from my old SSUR/ColorWerx site, as well as my Blogspot.com site:

  • USFL paint specs
  • XFL logosheets and uniform sheets
  • Manitoba Moose Third Jersey Contest
  • Arizona Cardinals logo/uniform experiments
  • Most (if not all) of the sRGB-optimization projects I had started
  • PANTONE’s Color of the Year

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, or if there are any broken or problematic links.

Stay tuned for future developments!

As well as being the founder of TruColor (formerly ColorWerx and The Society for Sports Uniforms Research), I am also a database developer and run a software development and consulting business with my wife Amy. The company is called Ethx. I have been interested in logos and uniforms since the early '70s, and am especially interested in team colors, including color science. I have also been a professional musician for 40+ years as well, and received a Bachelor's degree in Music (jazz studies - performance and arranging emphasis) from North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas) in 1985.
